A custom, one-on-one service
Every engagement is a custom, one-on-one service. Work begins with reserving your place in Kerry’s schedule and continues through a personalized strategy and writing process built specifically for you. The policy below explains how cancellations and refunds are handled.
Payment
Full payment is due at booking to reserve your engagement and Kerry’s dedicated time.
Cancellations before work begins
If you cancel before your intake or strategy session takes place and before any work has started, you are entitled to a refund of your payment, less a non-refundable booking fee of 5% that reserves your place in the schedule and covers administrative and scheduling costs.
Cancellations after work has begun
Once work is underway, all payments are non-refundable. This reflects the custom nature of the service and the time, expertise, and scheduling Kerry commits to your engagement from the outset. “Work underway” includes the point at which your intake or strategy session has been scheduled or held, or any drafting or research has begun, whichever comes first. Any exception to this is made solely at Kerry’s discretion.
Unresponsive clients
This is a collaborative process that depends on your participation. If you become unresponsive for more than 60 days after a request for information, materials, or feedback, your engagement may be placed on hold or closed. Reopening a closed engagement may require a reactivation fee. Kerry will always make reasonable attempts to reach you before closing an engagement, but payments remain non-refundable as described above.
Coaching sessions: rescheduling and no-shows
- ›Sessions rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be moved at no charge.
- ›Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice (a no-show), are forfeited. Any exception is made solely at Kerry’s discretion.
- ›Coaching sessions purchased as part of a package or multi-session bundle do not expire.
Rush services
Because expedited turnarounds require Kerry to reserve and reprioritize her schedule, rush fees are non-refundable once a rush engagement is accepted.
How to request a cancellation
All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@simplygreatresumes.com. Approved refunds are issued promptly to the original payment method. Please note that, depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take 5–10 business days for the refunded amount to appear on your statement.
